Chaos at the General's House

9:08PM, the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the Camilo Mansion was struck by sounds of gunshots and screaming rebels.

A revolutionary group of Filipinos called "Katipuneros" attacked the house of Commander-General Camilo Garcia de Polavieja. They were able to reach the doorstep of the general's office where he was residing throughout the event. A total of 21 spanish soldiers and 7 katipuneros were killed during the attack.

Commander-General Camilo de Polavieja survived the attack thanks to the loyalty of one of the katipuneros towards the Spanish government. Francisco Molina, a filipino who killed his fellow rebels, was celebrated upon by the general for his heroic act. Molina killed 3 of the 4 katipuneros who were about to infiltrate Polavieja's office from their behind. The lone survivor, Valentin Diaz, was able to escape the scene.

This sparked an anger by Polavieja and vowed to inflict hardships towards the filipinos and dares to kill anyone who opposes the government. This include rebels and authors who speak against the spaniards.
